I’ve given in to peer pressure…

…and I’ve balled up a skein of pretty 100% space-dyed merino from my stash (Thank you flat mate for being my swift! Far too much yarn in the skein for my little swift!) and swatched up onto 4mm needles (I know, I know, I don’t do swatches!) for a

I’m about 1/2 finished on the square. It is very pretty colours isn’t it!! The fabric feels quite a bit rougher than I was expecting from merino though… Let me guess, that means that my needles are too small?

Pretty please??? 😉 Yes, I’m hating all “the swatching time”… started the swatch at 23:15, and stopped knitting at 00:45! An hour and a half for 5cm! Means it will take me *forever* to knit this! *sigh*

I also joined the clapotisknitallong yahoo group, will see how I get along there!

Life is as life does… :-)

And life does very nicely right now. Social life is good, knitting is good, even work is cool.

I cast on for the socks again last night at Angel Knits, I *think* it is going to be ok this time, but we shall see. I also knitted a bit of mystery pressie, and have worked out pattern block and stuff. Now, I just have to work out the pattern that fits the block! LOL

New flat-mate seems good, and we had a very cathartic clearing out of boxes on Monday in prepartation I said goodbye to some stuff I had hoarded for 18 months or so, but was never going to be able to use again. So, in the bin it went. Sad, but hey, never mind eh?

Bother bother bother!

Had a lovely day today. Took my knitting out to Brunch, and managed 2/3rd of a set of Lauren on the way there. I started “The easy bit” on the last tube journey of the day, the K back, but I forgot to CO 4 at the beg. of the row… Guess when I remembered about this? 3 st from the end of the row! I’ve got to tink 113 st! WHAAA!!!!!

Sulking big time. *pouts*

Other than that, Brunch was lovely, pancake and Pimm’s filled. Thank you Harry! My evening was fun too, went to the AMP, and had lots of fun! 😉
