You know, I’m not quite sure what I was scared of… The Lovely Ann showed me a simple stitch a little while ago, but then Julie from Golder Green tried to teach me another way, and I got a little confused. So, having the instructions in a book, with pictures, really helped. Having all the stitch abbreviations explained helped as well… (Even if the Happy Hooker is in American, she gives the UK abbv. as well) After all, Knitting abbreviations are not actually that complex, we only really K, P and YO pretty much!
Once you get the hang of it, it is very easy. I’ve got my Swatch pics to upload later. 🙂 I don’t think that I will be using crochet as a full on making method that often, but decorative edgings and being actually able to read a Crochet pattern are all all good things!
