Granddad went back in to Hospital Monday as his Catheter got blocked with a blood clot, so he was in lots of pain. They cleared that, but his blood potassium was very low, and his BP is way down from the 180/120 highs it is usually at. They gave him 2 units of blood and a K/Na drip, but there is very little output via the catheter still, and after the urine coming out clear Wednesday, it went back to all bloody again Thursday.
I’ve just heard that he has been transfered to a Critical Ward with his Heart failing.
So, I’m hoping it won’t be long now, as Mum is really in bits (not that she is very together most of the time anyway…) and I’m not sure I’m 100% there right now either….
I’ve just discovered that a re-enactment friend died on Tuesday evening, of a Cancer that I didn’t know he had.
On the brighter side, The Phyiso has taken my crutch away. I’m doing well apparently, he’s given me a particular way of walking to concentrate on (Which is annoying the crap out of me, as I’m a strider, and I have to take small piddly steps!) and a shed load of stretching exercises as well. Some of them are rather amusing… I’ve got to “small-step-march”, swinging my arms and raising my knees to 90deg for about 10 minutes 3 times a day as one!
I have quite a few up-sides going on otherwheres as well, but as I’m tired anyway today… It’s all philosophical. *shrug*
