I lied about that being my last post…

Oh yes, secret pal updates.

Spoiling my pal rotten.. 😉 Been sending her pressies and e-cards. Hopefully she feels loved and spoiled. I’ve got some little bits for her under my desk right now, must wrap it up and take it to the post office!

My Spoiler has a College deadline, so I’m having to wait until the 6th before I get a first giftie!… tee hee.

Quick “last post” of the month!

I know, I’ve left you all alone for 10 days again, then 2 posts in one day!

Generally, I’ve been doing “other stuff” that doesn’t involve a PC… mostly creative, and some fun outings. Oh, and spending far too much money on ebay!

I took a load of pictures and uploaded them to my WIP page on Monday, and I have to add to that again this weekend with progress on two projects *and* my new NORO project *and* making stitch-markers, as promised.

I also want to upload some general pictures of stuff, but just haven’t had time to format the pages! Make the site a little more “general interest”, rather than totally knitting obsessed! 😉

Last weekend, I was lucky enough to be invited to my friend Leanne’s Wedding to Nick. She didn’t invite many people from our social crowd at all, so I feel honoured that she picked me for an invite.

It was a really good time, small, friendly and celebratory. I wish them much happiness.

I also went to Club Hades after the reception, much imbibed with WINE! and CHAMPANGE! from the wedding! :*)

I have to congratulate Danny, Paula, G and team for creating what I think is going to be one of the best events in London. Yes, my perspective was much blinkered by the amount of Alcohol I had consumed, but it seems that they have actually listened to the players, creating a club for the players, rather than just an “Ego w*nk to make money” as most other Club promoters seem to do in London…

I know from my perspective, I gave out lots of hugs and snogs, *everyone* I knew seemed to be there! Looking to get my ticket for next month already!

I also had a job interview on Wednesday. I apparently made a good impression, and the job is definately somewhere I want to end up… So, fingers crossed there!

Yarn and its foilbles

Isn’t it strange that yarn wants to follow you home, and then tells you, ney, demands of you, what project it wants to be…

I think I have made a theory. If I get the yarn and immedialy have to cast on with it (Like I have with some Louisa Harding Sari Ribbon, demanding to be be a little evening bag, and the Noro Silver Thaw I ordered from ebay wanting to be a scarf and hat set… and I get the feeling that the Louisa Harding Kimono Ribbon wants to be another lacy “Lauren” type shawl, but I’m going to need the needle out of my FMB for that!), it loves me and I should love it back by allowing it to become what it wants to be ASAP.

If I buy yarn, and it ends up languishing in my stash, then it is obviously grumpy, and I’m going to have problems helping it become…

So maybe I should pass it on to someone that it can be helped by… Or, maybe, I just need to sit down with it, stroke it nicely and let it talk to me for a while… I can see the advert now: “Wanted: Yarn Therapist required for grumpy stash” ??? 😉

I have concluded however, that you really can only have so many WIPs though, however impatient your yarn is to become! I think I have 6 right now, which really is too much eh?

Still I’m aiming to complete one this weekend (I have to, its deadline is Saturday!) and I suspect that I will just frog that blasted Opal sock (However pretty the Yarn is) and then ebay the yarn, pattern, needles etc, and never let sock knitting on 2.5m DPNs darken my thoughts again! 😉

Oh, and in another related but seperate burst of creativity, I’ve started making beaded stitch-markers. Very pretty… Stirling Silver findings, and Italian Glass beads. I may well ebay some of those too!

I’ve even learned how to put beads on things, so my new Noro has a little “Made with love” bead attached to the hem. It obviously wants to be a snuggly pressie for someone!

I’ll take some pictures over the weekend. I promise…
